Red wine is among the healthy drinks available in the planet. Like other fermented products it contain vitamin B 12 and various other nutrient required for human body. Moderate consumption of the red wine produces beneficial effects in human body including weight loss.

In red wine, there is a group of flavonoid polyphenols called procyanidins.



These are typically found in wines that have had a significant fermentation time and wines that have been allowed to settle, rather than go through a filtering process. Procyanidins are typically found in younger wines and especially Italian and French varieties. These chemicals prevent clogged arteries, high blood pressure and cholesterol.
